Have I known real sadness before?
Was I aware that the death of my child would kill me too? Well, I wasn’t. Before my son died, I spent my days cocooned in a perfect bubble of busyness and bliss. But on April 5th of 2019, that bubble burst open like a nuclear bomb, taking my perfectly aligned life on the most painful ride imaginable. Still, I was lucky. I had safety belts. The love for my family and writing out my agony. I crafted this book with raw honesty, presenting my vulnerability on a plate for others to see. To feel. And to connect.

Born and raised in Austria, Sabine moved to Los Angeles in 2004. As a Mom of Five, Bereaved Mother, RN, Artist, Published Author, Creator of the “Broken Hearts” Series, and Foster Mom, her life is never dull. If she is not writing, Sabine can be found chasing after her kids, or her two dogs, and trying to fix meals, always with a cup of coffee in her hands.
